The first time Tam practiced Yoga was alone alongside Erich Schiffmans Book, Moving into stillness. She still remembers how this quote “the secrets of yoga lie in the doing of it, and only as your personal practice matures, will your practice become your own” and how it inspired her to begin her own personal journey into what has become an essential part of her life.  It was this passion for Yoga that led her to teaching and for the past 12 years she has been continually surprised at how much she learns from her students.  Tam finds it incredible how Yoga gives you what you need, when you need it and how her practice continues to evolve.  After practicing Ashtanga for many years she  took her first Moksha class and was instantly hooked! She completed the Moksha teacher training back in 2010 here in Montreal. Since then her curiosity has led her to a Teacher Training with Hart Lazer (300hr) and another on Meditation with Stephen Schettini. She is grateful to have continued her study of Yoga by taking workshops with Richard Freeman (Ashtanga), Joe Barnett (Yin), Maria Patella (arm balances), Ella Cojocaru (Inversions), Nicki Doane, Eddie Modestini (Ashtanga/Iyengar inspired) and is currently studying with Noah Maze (Vinyasa.)

Tam believes that words alone cannot fully describe how the practice of yoga can transform one’s life and hopes that she can help to inspire others, of all ages, to get onto their mats and playfully explore.
